I am curious how many feel the same way. I dont like the US invasion of Iraq because its morally objectionable but at the same time I despise how Islam is meant to target "infidels" and that terrorist attacks are not morally reprehensible to that populace.. Part of me thinks, "yeah give'em hell" for all the years of terrorism, pillage, and rape, but I am disturbed about the Iraq war and the allegations of torture, rape and murder.

On Islam targetting infidels: I have done some research and the Koran has all sorts of conflicting statements, some very belligerent in nature. Although, I must add that based on the current political climate it may be misrepresented.

Also, if their motive is political why harm innocent civilians? Couldnt the same be accomplished by other means. India did a great job of getting its independence and its point across without bloodshed.

They are not attacking the infidels, the administration and the media twisted the whole thing. They had a political agenda which was asking USA to remove their military bases from Saudi Arabia and the Liberation of Palestine. The only reason I know this is because this was mentioned very briefly. They do not want to tell anyone what the terrorists were demanding. I do not know why the media did this. The simple people think that their agenda was attacking the infidels.
These are not allegations, thats what is happenning. Since I defend the Muslims, I have started getting threats. The Yahoo Answers people constantly insult the Muslims and if I criticize the Christian right wing, they have started sending me threats. This shows that Muslims are really oppressed. I cannot even speak my mind. I am the only Muslim, who speaks up. I know, why they are afraid to even speak up.
Yes, I totally agree that they should not target the innocent people. I myself do not even kill a spider and I have too many spiders in my home. I believe that the Palestinians are so terrorized and have no rights absolutely in their own land that out of desperation, they are doing it. The mennenite Christian, who visit Palestine are speaking in favor of the palestinian. The reason why they targeted the USA is exactly the reason the USA invaded Afghanistan.
Why do you always target the Quran, when the Bible has statement like that too. If you read the Talmud, there is so much hate against the Christians. It openly says to kill the Gentiles over little things. It also says if a Gentile reads the Talmud, then kill him. It says to its o.k to cheat the Gentile and not pay them their wages. no one dare criticize any one else. Did you see what the media did to Mel Gibson.
Attacking the infidels is propaganda against the muslims.

The invasion of Iraq was not proper because it was attacked due to the development of weapons of mass destruction but none was found by the Americans.

you know...the more I learn about how messed up the world is the more messed up it seems to get...I mean...all the corruption in Sudan, warlords in Uganda....terrorists in the Phillippines..I mean jeez...it just goes on and on...if big brother's really got the chops we made him out to have in the 70s then hel yea...no sweat...I guess were just gonna have to wait and find out...
