Wow, who to pick, who to pick...
Well, I have to say I have always absolutely loved Vincent Valentine's get-up (Vincent is a character from Final Fantasy 7, which has also spawned some Anime, i.e. Final Fantasy Advent Children, 3-d not 2-d though...)
I mean the blood red cloak with the fraid edges and the headband contrast sharply to the black of his long limp hair, the pants and various belts and buckles. The metallic golden sheen of the metal on his boots and arm provide further contrast, the big gun only serves to complete this totally awesome ensemble.
Add the cool 'I don't care' look in the eye with the 'whatever' attitude et voila!

The very best ones are those worn by Marvel's Martinex, by Comic House Publications' Basil (Blackout) Brusiloff, by the DC's Jonathan (Dr. Manahattan) Osterman, by Marvel's Frankie (Nova) Raye, and by the DC villainess called Plastique, as she appeared on TV in the Firestorm the Nuclear Man comic. Look them up and see if you don't agree with me!
All right, I'll 'fess up. They are all naked. Martinex wears nothing neither does Dr. Manahttan. Blackout was covered in thick black fur, which he used to be nearly invisible at night. Nova wears only a coat of 'cosmic glaze' supplied her by Galactus. (Same thing goes for the Silver Surfer-- despite Marvel showing him wearing briefs when he was first introduced...!) And Firestorm vaporized Plastique's clothes so that she could not make a political statement on TV to support her Quebecois separatist movement.

actually, there are many of my most loved costumes.. not all are superheroes.. but in superheroes, i liked the new and improved costume of hawkgirl.. another is iceman, storm and jean.
