If I was to tell you I was trying to get the human race through the most drasstic nature possible to understand that concept, would you hold hope in your heart as it back builds like a hurricane storm? Everyone in the entire earth has there outer illusion, what the world puts on you, as well as the inner illusion, what you put on yourself. They key to each is the drasstic nature in which one person forces them to face there outer and inner illusions, to make them understand what it means to suffer even though they never suffered themselves. You can't do it yourself, but there are others that know how to reach people and let them know. Don't ponder to long on this question, it has no answer you youreself can achieve. This is something out of your reach, let time solve it for you.

I live by the libertarian philosophy. The gist of it is, "Do no harm to others." This includes their well-being, their possessions (& earnings), and their freedoms. In other words, live & let live.

It's a simple philosophy, really. But if everyone adopted it, we could have peace on Earth tomorrow.

With the possible exception of Buddhism, no religion could make that claim. For all the lip service they give to peace, holy texts are full of violence and atrocities, and commandments to use force to convert others. Religions are responsible for a good deal of the wars and strife throughout history.

So if you want world peace, become a libertarian atheist!

We reduce our own feeling of suffering by inflicting suffering on others.

But we are intelligent - we won't go to the extent of finishing off each other since we know we need each other for our own survival.

Life is not filled with suffering. Instead of philosophising about huge general questions, why not concentrate on bettering your own existence, and your relationships.

As long as we are in human form there will always be hate and envy. That is why we have wars.
Christians also have hate and envy but a true Christian is trying to do something about it.

humans dont NEED to kill humans. if it was need based killing, we wud have put the corpses to better use. they do it out of a sadistic desire.
i believe the answer lies in the teachings of Buddha: to put and end to the misery in the world, we need to put an end to desire.
