Modes are many, what matters is your budget !!!

Delhi to Gurgaon is about 15 KM (Depending on where in Delhi), and the road connecting the two is a National Highway, currently under major repairs - so the traffic is a nightmare. You have the following options for commuting -

1. Own car - cost approx 100 Rs (2.5 $) a day for petrol car, Rs 60 (1.5$) for diesel car and Rs 30 (75 cents ) for car running on LPG / CNG. This is just the cost of fuel.

2. Hired car - hire charges are approx Rs 1000 (25$) per day - which includes 80 km of running. This is for a chauffer driven cab.

3. Cab - One way fare would be approx Rs 150 - 200 (5$).

4. Bus - you really need to be brave to try this mode, but will cost you approx Rs 10 (25 cents).

Best way is in your own car, driven by a driver. Worst way is by bus, but it is the cheapest. The Metro is emerging as the best way, but its connectivity is limited, and it does not touch Gurgaon as yet. It is expected to reach there in about two years time.
