Hi guys!!

My husband and I have a big Holiday Ball this December and I have a prom dress from 2001 that I'd like to re-vamp and wear. It's a long strapless satin a-line gown, and it's a light cornflower blue. I was wondering if I would be able to dye the dress even though it needs to be dry cleaned and it is satin. If so, what brand and type of dye should I use and how would I go about dyeing it? Thanks for your help!!

If it's natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen) it should dye just fine. If it's synthetic (polyester, nylon, spandex, etc.) probably not. Rayon is iffy. Since it's a satin, I'd bet it's mostly polyester, unfortunately....
