My favourite ever is The Clash. My favourites around today are The White Stripes, Tool and Coldplay. The reason for all of them is basically because they do their own thing. They all have their own sort of groove and care about truly creating original and meaningful art. They don't sound like every other band. They are all pioneers in there own way. The Clash were huge pioneers who had enough guts to try all sorts of things and changed popular music forever. They are credited for one as being the first white band to embrace reggae in the song 'White Man In Hammersmith Palais'. Just to glimpse at the brilliance of The Clash, take a look at their biggest U.S. single ' Rock The Casbah'. Not my favorite song of theirs, but it is about oil and the middle east struggles and it is from the early 80's. The band was truly amazing! Check out there other 2 big U.S. singles 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' and 'Train In Vain' which was called by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the ten best 80's songs. Better yet buy their debut album and 'London Calling' at least!!

i really, really, REALLY like the used. and a perfect circle. I love how melodic a perfect circle is...but they are still so freakin' heavy it's ridiculous. I love the combination or melodic and heavy!
