Has anyone come up to you and started talking to you like they've know you forever, or in my case, been pulled over because I looked like a suspect the police were looking for? I've never committed a crime in my life, so it was a shock.

Not really, but someone once deposited over $50,000 into my checking account since my last name was similar to someone else. The bank didn't catch the mistake, but I did the right thing and reported it.

Yes, I have indeed been the victim of mistaken identity MANY times. Perhaps you would like to read my online Yahoo question called "am I a human or only my sister's shadow." To cut a long story short, on MANY occasions I have been mistaken for my older sister and it really hurts me as I feel that no-one wants me around and only care about my sister. "I exist too," I think to myself. In 2004, I was so desperate for people to recognise me as my own person that I cut my very long ponytail off (my hair used to go down past my waist and past my backside). She still has her long hair while I'm having the fun and pleasure of growing mine back, but people still mistake me for her. Read my online yahoo question, "am I a human or only my sister's shadow."

Yes. A guy walked up behind me and tried to hug me. When I turned around he looked shocked and apologized.

Also, there is a woman in my city who looks a LOT like me. I know because people keep asking me if I was in a store yesterday or whenever and telling me I have an almost twin running around. Haven't met her yet but saw her driving last year and nearly drove off the road. Weird!!

I wouldn't call it mistaken identity. But, there is another woman that people get me mixed up with at my son's school. We are both mothers to first graders, active PTA members, and we are both Asian (I'm Japanese and she's Korean). I like to kid with her that it's because "we" (Asians)all look the same. We both think that it's pretty funny.

I'm always hoping someone will mistake me for Angelina Jolie but so far it hasn't happened.
