Thats the the 64K dollar Q?????
Bush uses his "cut and run" rhetoric to justify staying in this failed endeavor. He keeps saying he will leave "when the war is won." In truth it can never be won, because it is not a war that can be won.... It is a civil war between Iraqi factions, with American soldiers, not only caught in the crossfire, but also targets for insurgent groups who hate Americans and love the fact that they now have a place and reason to kill them.
It will take a new administration (Democrats) to pull out of Iraq , he will not relent. That said, if a new /congress/senate/president facilitates a pull out, ANY mess in Iraq will then end up being blamed by the Republicans on the Democrats, instead of blaming it on the WAR and the crazy choice to go to war in the first place to fight a fight without a plan, and they will try and make it look as though all would have been great if they would have been given the opportunity to hang in there and "WIN"!
If however another US admin does not take over to effect a withdrawal of US troops, we will see tens and thousands of US lives lost and maimed like Vietnam..

78 American soldiers killed just in October according to the "body counts". Now do you know how many Iraqis died just in October?. 100 Iraqis die A DAY in Iraq. 100x31=?. You figure out. 253 Iraqi security forces killed. Let's face it, AMERICA IS NOT losing ANYTHING in Iraq if we compare to what the Iraqis are losing and suffering, and they WILL STAY FOR 100+ YEARS TO COME, if they don't see another Somalia in Iraq soon. Meaning, an all armed civilian maniacs willing to die to kill just one American. IRAQ NEEDS THAT, if they wanna see any chance of American leaving. No to disrespect to my country, BUT IT IS A FACT. Forces are not called "forces" for nothing, and they MUST BE FORCED to withdraw.
Somalis need to send some "technicals" to the Iraqis. I NEVER NEVER seen a single armored Iraqi vehicle. All I see is them with AK's and doing IED. "technicals" were a pick up trucks, mounted with anti-aircraft machine guns, and it was Somalis favorite choice of battle wagon.

Once again, everybody doesn't agree it's a failure. And if President Bush or the new president pulls-out our troops before we've done everything we can to help those people, then the humiliation rests on us all.

Did America ever leave Germany? No. Did America ever leave Japan? No. Did America ever leave Vietnam? No.
America still holds offices in all of these countries. America has never left anywhere they have landed.
America will never leave Iraq.

Iraq's end will be similar to the Vietnam War's end. We'll just cut loose after several years of no progress.

He will make it one of his last operational details of his presidency. He will want to be viewed as the war time president who saw them (the troops) off and welcomed them back.
