why would anyone believe mirror writing or writng backwards is evil?

I already hear the stupidstitious baloney casue I am left handed and lefties are supposedly sinister, but my ex really annoyed me would not stop loeaving rude text mesaages on my phone so I angrily wrote a letter backwards cause I knew his curiosity would make him take the time to hold it up to a mirror to decipher it, but I can read backwards just fine without one so I wrote sa two page letter, and he looked scared after I handed it to him and told a couple people that I am a witch or satan is my father , he was real serious, I am shocked by this level of ignorasnce from an otherwise intelligent person and others say it is evil to. I dont understand , was it the movie the shining that did it all for ya? was redrum that damn traumatic of a symbol for yall? can someone please explain this to me ,thank you

I think it's more fear of the unknown, then fear of finding out about it, resulting in ignorance. The superstitions that backward-writing is "evil" is also brought on (in part) by many Christian philosophies. This to me is like saying, "If I walk backwards, does that mean I'm being evil?" As a point of interest here, too, in some polytheistic beliefs, there was a deity, named Dog, who was used as a reference for the "lesser gods" when they couldn't think of a name for him/her. Eventually, the name was reversed and all of the deities were combined as one. EVIL, too, is LIVE backwards.

My husband and I are called "evil" on a daily basis, mostly for the type of work we do. We are spiritual advisors/psychics, healers and follow the First Nations/Druidic paths more than any other. We do this online or offline and it's what we enjoy doing - being able to help people. But even with that, it's still stigmatized because of the lack of understanding. One person even said to my husband, "You are EVIL because you LIVE a very VILE life!" Interesting to note the anagrammatic connotations in that statement.

The "back-talk" also comes from the idea that "demons" are the opposite of "angels", therefore, the demons' words and actions are also opposite. It seems to be a strong superstitious belief with most people, almost as though it's genetically encoded in our DNA now.

"The Shining" is one of my husband's favorite movies. Jack Nicholson, he says, "disturbs" him each time. It's in the eyes! He can even get the "Redrum" just right and it sends shivers down my spine. LOL

On a final note here, your path is your path. Your perception is the key to your knowledge and wisdom. To live spiritually in a neighbourhood of what the neighbours think (the "crumpets and tea") is guiding you off focus of who you really are, meaning: "Don't worry what others think of you, worry more about the lack of faith they have within themselves. If they are truly who they say they are, they would not fear that fear that they've created for themselves." ~Blessings and be well.

Why would anyone believe that? Because he or she is nuts that is why. I cannot believe the things that people believe. I can (sort of) understand it from people who are not very smart, but some of these people seem to function fine in the world.

I have a 15 year old niece. The sweetest girl you would ever want to meet - I am not being prejudice, she is always very polite to adults and people her own age. Well, she had this boyfriend; he seemed like a very nice kid. This kid's mother told him that she thought that my niece was evil because she has red hair and red heads are evil. Can you believe it? This kid's mother seems normal otherwise. She lives in a very nice house, so she must have a somewhat responsible job, but she truly believes my niece is evil because of the red hair. Of course the two kids are no longer together because of the mother.

As far as your ex, tell him to stay out of your way or you will put a spell on him. You deserve better than that jerk.
