Are women the tragic heroes of history?

I wrote this in a fit of depression:
Across all divisions of nationality, religion, race, class, the female is subservient, the oppressed figure throughout the totality of human history. The woman’s history is a history of tragedy; and yet they are too the unsung heroes of history, the reflection of benevolence in the image of humanity. It is life under the boot heel that warrants their tragic condition, but it is their sheer will to cope with such an existence that propels them to a heroic status. Women are the exemplification of salvation through suffering, not any sort of religious salvation, but artistic salvation. Their condition is the purest representation of artistic tragedy; their lives are the very canvas with which experience has documented their selfless suffering. The female is the ultimate display of not solely beauty, but art!

p.s. I am a dude, and a heterosexual, in case you were wondering. I just am so enamored with the female condition

Well let's examine women's exploits in history:

Elizabeth I of England sponsored pirates to terrorize ships of other nations(Francis Drake) and started Anglo-Spanish War.[1]

Golda Meir of Israel authorized the Mossad to kill Black September in retaliation of 1972 Olympics massacre. She also showed ruthlessness in conducting the Yom Kippur war.[2]

Catherine II of Russia initiated numerous Russo-Turkish Wars and annexed Crimea.[3]

More recently Margaret Thatcher was known as "Iron Lady." She also "punished" the unionists which led to Anglo-Irish War.[4]

Tragic heroes? More like ruthless and fearless leaders.

Historically , the male dominated society has always underplayed the role of the female, as it meets with their hidden agenda. Thus , a woman here , a woman there , made more news and was sensationalised . In an imaginary situation , if instead of Jesus, say, a female had been put on the cross, then I am sure the male society would never have elevated the female to the position of God daughter!

To free themselves from the shakles of the male society it has been a long struggle for the female.Otherwise she will, still, be an object of beauty, lust, temptation ... you name it.

I come from an area in the globe where we had accepted female form as equivalent to god and they shared equal responsibilities and are worshipped even more than the male gods.

I like what you wrote, but I don't think women are tragic heroes. If I had to pick a word I like better, I would say they are the unsung heroes of history.

When you read about historic events, there are always women involved, moving subtly in the background, influencing the men who strut on the stage. They are usually unnoticed and unnamed, but their influence is felt just the same. Wars are fought for women. National boundaries change for women. Poetry and symphonies are written for real women who act as the artist's muse.

The fact that those who came before me are unknown to history does not make them tragic, it simply makes them unknown. Anyone who has eyes to see and cares to keep them open can see the contributions from the thousands and thousands of nameless "shes" who are now gone. Man did not build this world alone; he just got most of the credit.

This is the lamest thing I've ever heard of. Even though throughout history and throughout the world women are treated like objects more than any other group, this doesn't make them heroic. Being treated like an object and being subjected to harsh treatment and cruelty are far from the same. There are few places that subjected women to that kind of treatment, whereas other groups have been. But even on another level think about it, are women the victims? I think you just don't give them enough credit. Throughout history women have gotten men to provide for them. The modern woman with her sugar daddy boyfriend is as impressive as she was thousands of years ago when her caveman boyfriend was out hunting for her everyday. We can see that the modern woman is perfectly capable of providing for herself, and if she finds another way, how then can we say she is the victim?

So in basic terms as Democrats take credit for the Republicans passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Democrats will blame the Republicans for the failure of the health Care Reform of 2010, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that it replaced into completely the doing of Democrats. They did it with the WMD lie. The Democrats informed the WMD lie for 8 years at the same time as Clinton replaced into the president. Do a google video search for for "democrat wmd" and be conscious for your self. yet as we talk they pretend NONE OF THAT EVER handed off, and the in difficulty-free words say Bush lied about WMD. in the journey that they could be able to do it with the WDM lie, they could be able to and could do it back with health care reform.

History is quite vast . . .there is plenty of room for all kinds of tragic heroes, and women are certainly in that number, but certainly are not the only ones in that number.
