Currently live in Texas and Hell NO I don't wear cowboy boots but then again I live on a Military Base and most ppl like myself aren't originally from here lol I'm originally from Seattle. The City I mostly goto is Austin and I never see anyone wearing cowboy boots but it's pretty much a college/music/party town. lol

Most Americans know that all Texans don't rock the cowboy style. But I'm sure people outside of the U.S. perceive Texas to be that way because of pop culture, films, and folklore.

Yes since 1972 state Senate bill 1556 mandates that every adult male wears cowboy boots. it's the Law

I lived in Amarillo for a year. Truth be told, I saw more "cowboy" outfits in Orange County California than I did there. I guess when you are really from Texas, you don't have to "play" cowboy. (No offense to my beloved Orange County ha ha.)
