why don't we work on relationships anymore?

why is it easier to just leave- My relationship is okay I was just wondering

It's to do with this point that Philosopher JP Moreland makes..

"A sensate culture is one in which people only believe in the reality of the physical world we experience with our five senses. A sensate culture is secular, this-worldly, and empirical. By contrast, an ideational culture embraces the physical world, but goes on to accept the notion that a non-physical, immaterial reality can be known as well, a reality consisting of God, the soul, immaterial beings, values, purposes, and various abstract objects like numbers and propositions.

Scripture is quite clear that our worldview will determine the shape of our cultural and individual lives. Because this is so, the worldview struggle raging in our modern context has absolutely far-reaching and crucial implications.

Sorokin claimed that a sensate culture will eventually disintegrate because it does not have the intellectual resources necessary to sustain a public and private life conducive to human flourishing. After all, if we can't know anything about values, life after death, God, and so forth, where can we find solid guidance toward a life of wisdom and character?"

My Summary answer:
It's bascially to do with what we expect to have to do to keep a relationship or what we expect to have to put into things like love, character and life.

If we look at the big picture, I think we have evolved into a self-absorbed species. We lack deep, empathetic communication. We live such fast paced lifestyles, we have become inpatient. We may think it is to much work to make the effort ,or the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I also think television and movies are a big influence on us, more than we want to admit. People have become discontented and superficial. However, I think on a whole, we really want deeper more intimate relationships. Or we wouldn't keep trying. Maybe, it has something to do with our relationship with God, or lack there of. Our spirits are hungry for something we don't know how to satisfy. I think we have lost touch with ourselves. It seems, we don't even know how to be human being's anymore.

remember that human mind is a complex thing. whenever u have a bad concept or attitude toward anyone then it;s really hard to make him/her ur friend again. For that reason it's easier to leave anyone easier. it's more easier in the western or USA due to thier social system of free mixing.

There are so many alternatives waiting in the wind to grab up your partner......another man, a married woman, younger women.....that's the easy way out, why work on a relationship when you can try something new...Its a lot of women out there that would like to work it out, but its most men that will want to try something new...Pity though. most of the time they wound up wanting to come home, its a vicious cycle
