Why not. But maybe i think 50:50. Sometime the boy and girl can have a special friendship but not a romantic relationship. But sometime too the girl and boy can have a romantic friendship, they must have a special friendship ( maybe a special friendship is the first if want to be a romantic relationship).
That's my opinion.

Most DEF! My best friend is a male! Were like two peas in a pod! If eitherof ushave relationship problems the other has the answer..its not just like a girlfriend telling you what SHE thinks..its getting information back from the same sex! A girl/guy friendship is the best and DOES NOT ever have to be romantic.

Absolutely!!! Most of my friends are guys, and I've never felt anything more than a friend. However, those romantic feelings can develop in some cases, but really, it's not really a big deal, isn't it. I believe any relationship is based on a solid prior friendship.

Friends, like best friends? then yes. I have several male friends and there's nothing between us except friendship. However if you mean "special" like friends with sexual benefits, then probably not. While it'll work for a while, eventually someone is bound to develop feelings...Usually the woman , because women are more sentimental than men are. If that happens someone will end up getting hurt, and after that its basically impossible to go back to being just friends.

What do you mean by 'special'? Sure, guys and girls can have a platonic relationship. One or both people make a sound decision not to take the relationship any further for whatever reasons.

sure. I mean, it is normal for feelings to develop and besides, if you like someone like to have a special relationship as a friend then it means you could like him/her as something else, because to like is the first step, then you can decide if you're attracted or not. people with self-controll normally can, but if you find that special person and he/she was your friend first, then cool! It is well known that to have a great loving relationship you should be good friend of that person before.

yes because a special relationship u can offer things you wouldn't offer a regular friend as for a romantic friend you'd lay it all on the table and he/she would take whatever they wanted

though a boy and girl are just friends, sometimes when they are too close to each other, they develop their feelings and fall in love. On the other side, there are boys and girls that are too close and just best friends... just possibilities.
