There are two kinds of them that drive me nuts.

1. Lack of punctuation. That just kills me. A sentence is a thought and the punctuation helps organize it. If there is no periods, commas and so on it makes it hard to read. They come across like morons.

2. Internet lingo. people use it way to often that its hard to read. Example...ZOMG!!!1oneone u r jst 2 hawt! u r my favor8 bcz u r a sk8er 4evr!! LOL LMAO ROFL ROFLMFAO!!11o1neoneone.
I bet their old english people probally would punch them in the face if they read that on an essay. Also most people who type like that are under 17 and have no friends.

Grammarical? Or grammatical? That's not actually a grammatical error, so I won't let it get to me :)

I get upset with the confusion of contractions, possessives, and plurals. Those danged apostrophes never seem to be in the right place, and it really annoys me. It also bothers me that so many people think any "s" at the end of a word has to have an apostrophe in front of it. Really, the rules dealing with that stuff are fairly simple and straightforward, and it seems silly that people don't even make an effort to get it right.

The other ones that get me are the confusion of homophones. Again, those are pretty easy mistakes to catch, but a lot of people seem to be too lazy to bother correcting that sort of thing. I mean, "there", "they're", and "their" all have different meanings! But a lot of people seem to think they are interchangeable.

There are other mistakes I see quite frequently, but they don't bother me too much, like the confusion over when to use "who" and when to use "whom", or the other confusion with pronouns acting as subjects or objects in a sentence. I don't sweat those. I also don't worry too much about punctuation mistakes. But the two items listed above really annoy me.

I have done a fair amount of proofing and editing for other people. I know no one is perfect. I make mistakes all the time, and I proofread everything I write before I post it or let someone else read it. You know what? Mistakes sneak by me. But the stuff about possessives, etc., and the stuff about homophones are really pervasive problems, and they are really simple to fix. No one seems very interested in fixing them, though.

All of them! Recently my brother meant to say that he'd like to get together with some friends so he could be ornery.(This was in a greeting card)...and instead he said let's get together so I can be horny! Can you believe it?....I hate miss-spellings of all types but especially when you can tell it is like a 10 year old trying to chat with grown ups on Yahoo/Questions and Answers! I am sure I miss spelled and typed some of those things wrong. But oh well, that is what spell check is for right?

My two biggest pet peeves are 1) when a person can't end a sentence, or 2) when people misuse common words

example for # 2 such as there, their, and they're
example for # 1 those are my two worst complaints how about you dont you just hate it when people don't use punctuation?

There they are.
