It seems like there is some sort of holiday on mon. oct 23. Or can someone explain these occurences: First of all my cousin goes to Loyala Maramount and isnt having school tomorrow. Second, there was no Sunday Night Football. I have found that its Labour Day in New Zealand but what does that have to do with America. Since Loyola is religious, it may be honoring a saint from the calender of saints, but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any idea?

I am not sure about Loyola in particular, but many Muslims are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday (the celebration at the end of the month of Ramadan, in which muslims abstain from food & drink during daylight hours)... Why there was no football? I am not quite sure... Perhaps there are a good number of Muslim students and/or professors? Perhaps its just a staff development day???

There was no Sunday Night Football because of the Holiday called "Game 2 of the World Series". I can't explain what's going on at ole Loyala.
