Two of my friends have actually done this as a job for a while. One of them still does it. They are both comfortable with their bodies, and they both say that it's not being naked in front of a whole lot of people that bothers them about it, it's the fact that you have to hold these awkward poses for quite a long time, and it can get pretty painful. Also the classes tend to speak about the model as if they are not there, referring to her 'ample behind' or something like that. Some students can be very unsympathetic to the model too and complain if he/she moves slightly, blaming their poor skills on the slight movement of the model. My friends didn't really like doing it that much but got paid pretty well for it. They earned around AUS$50 per hour tax free which I think equals around $37 US.

20 years ago I would have, but I wouldn't now. The effects of aging haven't been flattering.
