A guy at my work put some program on my laptop from download.com and then upgraded me to internet explorer 7. I was able to use the internet at work, but now I can't get online at home. It keeps telling me that there is no connection. My DSL is working fine since I can use it on my desktop. The program that he installed from download.com had something to do with preventing a whole bunch of programs starting up when turning on the computer.

I erased the internet explorer 7 because I was hoping that had something to do with it. Do you have any ideas what could be wrong?

ya there are a number of things
try going msconfig and change the setting
but if you don't know much abiut computers then I'd suggest you use system restore to the day before the guy installed the new program
system restore saved my computer numerous times
it's no trouble at all, just have to restart computer when it's finished

Heard it has problems....delete it....Maybe, everything will come to
normal..
