You are paying for the expertise and time of an individual. Sometimes, especially if an individual is very good and does not charge, the phone rings day and night for people wanting to know things and there is no privacy. Charging means that people will value what they seek. On the other hand, there are lousy plumbers who create more problems than they solve, car mechanics who charge for repairs that were not needed and never made, and doctors who are utter frauds. The same is true of psychics. It is up to you to discern which is which in any profession.

I don't really know. But I "can" tell you what psychic's are really about, okay? All of us, every human being was born with what is know as "intuition." But "everyone" doesn't listen to it. Have you ever heard of the expression, "gut feeling?" Well, that's really intuition.
