You can use yahoo AddressGuard facility to protect your original E-mail address. Yahoo allows you to create multiple addresses and send a particular recipient or display on web specific address without disclosing your original E-mail address. The additional addresses so created can be deleted if you start receiving spam In them. For more details see yahoo mail site.

1) Avoid easy password
2) Care about your security question not to be guessable by other and friend and keep it somewhere becuz if you forget the password the only way to retrieve your pass again is security questions
3) Don't select remember my password when in cafenets you log on
4) Always log off yahoo before disconnecting esp when you are in a cofenet
5) Put a password in your Windows Account if you use windows
6) if you work with Yahoo Messenger never accept file from unknown persons, Yahoo rooms are full of sick guys!

1) Dont give anyone your password.
2) Make a profile. Do this by going to yahoo.com and logging in. Then go to your account settings and click "edit person profile". In the right pane is a section titled "public profiles". Click edit/create profiles. Make one and give people that one.
