I think Detroit has the advantage over St. Louis. Detroit has the momentum coming from Detroit with a win. Even though the series is tied, and it's at St. Louis.....Detroit is an awesome road team as well. They know how to play the game in the away setting, and also, Nate Robertson is pitching Game 3. For some reason, St. Louis has a hard time hitting against left handed pitchers. Also, the next game (Game 4) Bonderman will be the starter. You can't forget about the Tigers bullpin. Pitching is HUGE in postseason play, and knowing how Detroit is with their pitchers, St. Louis has their work cut out for them. One other thing.......Sean Casey should be back at 1st base in Game 3. Meaning that Carlos Guillen will be back at shortstop, and the Tigers will be back to their "normal lineup". Detroit's bench is great, but having all their starters is always a plus. With all this said, I'm sure you can tell that I'm a Tiger fan. All I can really say about St. Louis is that if they can overcome the Tigers pitching, they have a stand against Detroit. I'm just glad to see St. Louis in the World Series over the Mets.......first off, I can't stand the Mets (nor the Yankees), and secondly, it's great to have two classic teams in the World Series!

Im sry but I still have to go with the Tigers. If the Cards had pulled off the win tonight I could have swayed my opinion, but 1-1 favors the Tigers. Carpenter is up next, but he has not had a great postseason, just average. And if im not mistaken he's facing Bonderman. I like how Carpenter throws but even if he wins the next one that means the next 3 pitcher for STL will be Suppan (has been good this postseason), Weaver, and Reyes. Yeah Weaver has been solid and Reyes was shocking, but they still arent guys id want to put my WS hopes in their hand. I think the Cards are a lil banged up too, I mean Rolen has made 3 E's in 3 games, that just doesnt happen for no reason. Pujols cant even run balls out. The Tigers have scored 1st in both games, all the pitcher has to do is keep the momentum in their favor, and all year theyve been good at it. If past history tells us anything, it sucks to play a AL Central team in the WS and for a NL Central team its been rough. Also the Tigers lost game 1 vs the Yanks then destroyed them easily, and the fact the Tigers are 8-2 this postseason.
I will say this, the Cards havent lost back to back games yet this postseason so this next game could be the most crucial game. The Cards have alot of fight in them.

Although I am rooting for the Cardinals, I have to say that I think Detroit will take it in 5 or 6 games. The Tigers have a more balanced lineup and a deeper pitching staff. Over a 7 game series, I believe the Tigers will come out on top.

I would have to say that the Tiger's retain the advantage. They are just as good, if not better on the road than they are at home. They thrive when people say that they can't win. It is really too bad that they aren't the underdogs, that is when this team plays the best. The Cards do have a few things for them though, for example a pitcher who is capable of hitting the ball.

It additionally surpassed off in the 2001 international sequence. 5. 1980 - Phillies defeat Royals. a twin of Tug McGraw leaping off the mound after securing Philadelphia's first ever international sequence after YEARS of being a doormat in the NL nevertheless supplies me goosebumps. sure, i understand the Phillies have been fairly aggressive as quickly as Carlton and Schmidt got here to city, yet they have been brutal for the main section formerly them.

Yes its heading to The Gateway to the West, so far this series has been a pitchers duel, We got Carpenter going in game 3, Suppan in game 4, The Redbirds need to take 2 of 3 here and go try to win one more in the Motor City.I believe the FANS will help our team alot this is the best BASEBALL town bar none. The AL team, whoever it is, has a huge advantage unless they have crippling injuries. Look how the AL blew out the NL in interleague play this year. And St. Louis is more depleted with injuries than Detroit. I pick the Tigers in 6.

That 1968 world series was sure something and this one is shaping up to even outdue it!

Myself as a Tigers chick, I knew full well this was going to be a saeries. There will be at least three there, but odds are the World Series will end in Detroit one way or another.
