Everyone is now in agreement that Democracts will retake control of congress in light of the President's disastorous and murderous foreign and domestic policies.

The only question now is, should any republicans be left in office or should they all be thrown out to slap bush in the face?

It now appears that most, if not all, republicans are criminals, having received money from Jack Abarnoff, covered up the Foley sex scandal, and helped Duke Cunnigham get paid off by defense contractors to vote for the war.

In light of their idiotic policies and criminal behavior, is there any reason why ANY republican should be left in office this November?

There's no reason any Republicans should remain in office, but some will because a large part of the country is stupid.

I think it is awfully naive to think that everyone is in agreement that Democrats will retake control of congress. There is a lot of negative backlash against Republicans and the poll numbers are showing gains for the Dems, but the ballots haven't been cast yet. The Democrats have failed to show that they have a coherent plan for the future and haven't had much of a platform other than promoting the fact that they're not Republicans. I think the Republicans will have key losses, but they will not lose as much as people think, especially since they have not alienated their religious base too much. Also remember that middle American still relates more to the traditional Republican values and will likely vote Republican, despite the failures of the current administration. I've noticed that many Republicans have had success distancing themselves from the party going into this election by calling themselves things like "an independent voice", etc. On top of that, there is a significant part of the population that believes that small government is good government and only the Republicans can provide that. So don't be counting the ballots before they're cast and enjoy a government that will hopefully represent a cross-section of America and possibly even one that can govern by building consensus, rather than slamming an agenda.

Voters should replace all the Republican leadership which demands that their members toe the line on administration and party positions lest they be denied substantial financial help in elections. Once there is balance between the two political branches of government (i.e., when the Democrats control the Congress next January 3), then thoughtful Republicans will be better able and willing to act more in the interests of the country than of the party.

Alot of the Republicans need to be replaced no doubt there.. but i also don't think Democrats should have absolute control.

I'm a Democrat.. but honestly most democrats haven't really said what they will do when they get these seats.
The Democrats are all too busy in my opinion discrediting the Republicans and haven't brought forth a Real plan besides for calling for a pull out of Iraq.
The Iraqi war is unjust in my opinion.. We should have never been there.. but i also feel an immediate pullout would be disasterous to National security.

We need to stay long enough to give the Iraqi military time to become self sufficient.
I just hope when the Democrats take power they realize this.

I have a degree in Political Science and worked for Congress. I can infatically tell you NO. You never want ONE party or we wouldn't be a democracy.

If you are educated then you know not to ever vote party lines unless that is truly the best candidate. Vote for the pragmatic candidate. One who isn't going the direction of the wind, but willing to take in account that changes can bring necessary changes in the way they would typically vote.

There are really good people on both sides of the isles. Unfortunately all we hear are the bad.

ALSO don't forget....even our fore fathers had a lot of secrets and there has ALWAYS been corruption....just not the media to cover it.

Hollywood, politics, CEOS...they all have power in common. With power comes egos and a sense of self is gone. Some give in to that and the mighty fall far.

CEO Skilling...crook....CEO of Costco....awesome guy!
Hollywood...Tom Cruise (strange)....Hollywood...Jennifer Anniston (seems pretty grounded).
Politics....Mark Foley (ewwwww).....Politics....Bill Nelson (great guy).

Look through the negative campaign ads.
It's much more difficult to make an educated decision when you vote and very easy to say....all is evil and change everything. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. Life is pretty good for me right now....I wouldn't want EVERYTHING to change. Then again, I married a man from Cuba. The knock on their door meant their house was being taken from them and given to someone else even though they paid for it.

Your vote is more powerful than you'll know.

Yes, we need a new party in government, a moral party, but one that won't try to legislate morality... One that gives people choices in a way that no ones rights are taken away..
As for the republicans: All corporate lawyers, ceo's, lobbyist's and prosecuting attorney's have to go.. if there's one or two republicans left, they should go just for being idiots.
p.s. to all the religious right out there, you might want to rethink your position.. The republican party causes all of the problems they claim they are trying to fix...
If you don't want abortions, crime, drug abuse, immorality and divorced/broken families... then get the unfair trade your jobs away republicans out and start a real "moral" party with real people, not big business lawyers who have worked against human rights and the environment all their lives..
(a former republican)

First off. I am neither Republican or Democrat. There are no seperate parties any longer. There is a larger group controlling our votes and our country. I got news for ya.

There USED to be a difference. Now you must vote prayerfully. The men in Congress are mostly corrupt. The system of Govt are corrupt.

I wonder where are the good men are any more..... There are no seperate parties. Not any more...

Democrats are as evil as Republicans. Vote independant.

Not everyone. Bush said this morning he didn't think so. ( I think he's pretty alone in that) I have said for a long time ignore parties and vote for people. The entire election process is a joke in that only 2 can afford to run and have a chance because elections require financial support from one or the other parties. Both are pretty pathetic but I would definately choose the lesser of the evils, democrats. Money elects. People don't educate themselves before they vote, if they even vote. Of course they complicate it with special interest bs so much, I get why.

Government should never be under a One Party Rule! Look at what is going on since 1994...I don't want anymore of that.

Most but not all Republicans need to go! Though they are few, there are some good Republicans in our Government.

You don't have to settle. If the Republicans have let you down. Send a clear message and vote THIRD PARTY. I am tired of voting for people who tell lies to me. Even though many people say it's compromise, by handing them a free vote, aren't we giving them PERMISSION to lie? Enough is enough.

Overall the Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance. I won't be responsible for putting big money hand-shakers back into office.

Getting more people to vote in the first place will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises.

Do not speak for me. I do not agree with you. You need to develop a little understanding of politics. Not all Senators are up for re-election this year. Only 1/3 of them are running. President Bush has two more years to fulfill his duty as president of the US. All Republicans are not criminals. A criminal is a person convicted of a crime. Jack ABRAMOFF is not and was not an elected official. He was a lobbyist. He has been convicted and is serving his sentence. Former Rep. Delay and Ney have resigned and are facing investigation and charges. Last but not least what murderous domestic policy are you referring to?
