Empathy, the ability to make women feel comfortable, discretion, and open-mindedness. The last is really important; a gynecologist is going to have to deal with a lot of stuff that might go against their morals. You can't be judgmental to a patient who keeps coming in with STDs or who tells you that she has a lot of lovers. She'll sense it, and she'll be less likely to get help later, because no one likes to be judged.
