I prefer thumbs up for my answers, because it means I effectively communicated an idea that people agree with.
Plus I get a point for every thumbs up if it is chosen as best answer.

Oh I love when I get a thumbs up on either to be honest..... i am one person who will give the thumbs up to a question or answer if i see sincerity in it for one and thoughtfulness as well. I have not had that many thumbs up, strangely I think....it may be an oversight on the parts of people that are in and out of Y!A to even think about it, however i think that it is a kind way of being acknowledged so in all honesty i have to say...either one. I know that is not he answer you are looking for...however it is my answer. Thumbs up to you!
