The best way to see if a landscape contractor is reliable is to get names and phone numbers of past clients and call them. Be sure to drive by and see the jobs they have done to see if that is what you like.

Citys do not licence contractors, that would be a waste of time. Goto your state web site and look under contractor licences. There should be a search bar that allows you to put his or her # in it and it will show you the current status of the licence.
