I've been married for a decade now. A church wedding. My lover and I leave with eachother for 5 years now. She wants a child and live in the states. She wants me to marry her and I also want to. We don't have divorce here in the Philippines. Can I marry her in the states? What are the requirements?

It was a shotgun marriage. I tried to be a good husband and a father. Unfortunately, you can't teach your hearth.

They say I can file an annulment but the process takes years. Even if you're rich.

There is no divorce in the Philippines, but you can file for "annulment of your marriage". You can marry your mistress only after you get your annulment case decission favoring your claim. I know this process would take a lot of time and money (you need a good lawyer) but its the only way to do it legally.

You marriage will be void in the US if you are already married...no matter what country you're in.
But I guess they would have no way of finding out in the States.

Something I don't get.... you live with your lover for five years but have been married for ten to another woman? Where is she and how do you dissolve a marriage in the Philippines?

I am not being judgemental but you were not clear about your marriage status in the Philippines whether you were legally separated or you are simply cheating your wife? But what is clear is that you admitted that this woman with you is your mistress. What's wrong in that picture? But to answer your question, you can divorce her in the United States and get married here provided your wife signs your divorce papers.

I've always admired men who could make commitments. HOW MANY commitments can you make?
One --- you jerk!
Finish the first relationship and then start a new one!
