I saw a Cosmetics sales lady with a supposed skirt/dress on. She was wearing thick tights underneath and good thing...you could probably see her underwear when she bent over. I couldn't believe it. I had to ask another sales person..."Is that a shirt or a skirt?"

I totally agree with you. I can't find a decent mid-shin length skirt anywhere. I mean I do volunteer work and if I tryed wearing the fashion that is in now...I think I'd be cast out!

Please...don't get any shorter! If they shortened the styles out now you might as well be wearing a jean-belt...instead of a jean-skirt.

With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if the skirt went back to longer lengths and a trend in modesty actually were "in" sometime in the near future. If you look at the trend in automobiles, kitchen appliances, decorating, etc. it clearly shows that old it the new "new" with manufacturers regressing their designs to those of a "classic" era where innocence was revered.

I know I'm personally getting sick of media hoes like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Who gives a damn about them? It seems like other people are starting to abandon the scantily clad and scandalous and are more open to class and grace.

Also, Americans are getting too fat for the skirt to get any shorter. Maybe in Europe, but the low-rise jean trend is going away as we slowly realize that booty-cleavage is not attractive and we are simply too large to cram ourselves into teeny-tiny outfits.

As compared to who's... Paris Hilton's "loin cloth"?

As a man, I do enjoy women who wear short skirts, but I also like to have things left to the imagination.... so I think that it would ruin things if the skirt became shorter. I also believe its a personal choice and comfort level issue... if you feel confident enough to wear something that revealing, then good for you, if you dress a little more conservatively and are confident with that look, then good for you too!!

We can only hope so. Rember the minnie skirt. Those were the days. The shorter the dress the more a girl will be noticed.

It is possible for ths skirt to get shorter, but would you or any other self respecting girl wear them?? If you ever feel the urge to wear one or to invent one.... save yourself a couple of bucks and use a ribbon instead.

are the things we wear today even worthy of being called a skirt???
i just think its amazing that we pay more for skimpy pieces of clothing like mini skirts than we do for clothes that cover a lot more of you...weird huh? (haha funny this perspective is coming from a 14 year old)

it all depends.if you're gonna get taller, then yes.if you're gonna stay this height, then no.Or it could just be that you're not washing and drying it correctly.Read the tag on it.If you like creative looking clothes, you could find some fabric that looks like the fabric on the skirt and sow them together then cover it up with some crocheted fabric shawl thing. If you feel uncomfortable with it,then you should throw it in the trash or give it away. But I think that if it shows your thieghs(sorry i forgot how to spell correctly),then its too short.Good luck!

That's right, it sure has come a long way in getting shorter (I wasn't trying to be funny right there). And although I'm sure it's possible that they will continue to shrink, I sincerely hope not! We need to stay more modest ladies!

if they get any shorter we will have a new version of the thong. Kinda crazy.....we want young people to not have sex but how could they get around it with their **** and butt hanging out of their pants.(no wonder guys cant keep sex off their mind... hell i find it hard not to look myself.) Might as well as give them a bandaid and tell them to cover up what they can b/c thats all the material you get when you go to buy clothes.

Considering that some skirts barely cover a lady's bits, I don't see how they could without serious rethinking of public exposure laws.
