Do I have unlimited legal access to my own medical files?

If not, why?

you do have unlimited legal access to your medical files. no one can prevent you from accessing your own files. your doctor should provide you with all that you need. if your doctor refuses you access, you can report him to the american association of doctors.

Keep in mind, that rule does not give you the right to beak in at midnight to view them.
