..."Curvy" and "Thick" to describe themselves? And while thick really does mean fat, it's unfair to girls that are ACTUALLY curvy (hourglass figure; small waisted) to be associated with FAT now.

Gee doll, everyone being a tad harsh. I get where you're coming from, BUT in today's world it's refreshing to hear that larger sized women feel comfortable enough with their bodies to use sexy words to describe their inner feline. You must LEARN to contribute to the healthy image created by every individual woman. In today's society women are so objectified that it saddens me that another woman like yourself can help stereo-type other women. Remember honey beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Who's to say what's hour glass to you is hour glass to everyone else. Celebrate the confidence of other women they will pave the way to an enlighten future for all women. Confidence is key. So don't knock anyone who tries to find some through self description.

Well if you were very large wouldn't you rather consider yourself curvy rather than fat? Who cares what you call it anyways? I am curvy in all the right places but I do not throw a tantrum over what someone else says or how a word is used in a sentence.

I may not be a size 5...but I still have an hourglass shape. That means I am "Curvy" I am also voluptuous. Why don't you see if you can squeeze that word into your vocabulary???

Why are you even asking this question. How shallow are you? Aren't there other things in your life more pressing than wonder about how fat girls see themselves?. Seems a bit shallow to me. Maybe you can find a friend that can show you that its what is in the inside that matters not "How" they look. You need a dose of compassion!

Well, fat girls can be and usually are curvy as well. And 'fat' as a descriptor is gaining popularity among fat people, men and women, so don't stress over being thought fat when you're describing yourself to someone who's never seen you...which I imagine comes up often(??)

Why do shallow whiners have nothing better to do than rip on people with healthy self-esteem and empowering terms to describe themselves?

In this day and age of anorexia and plastic surgery, I think it's nice to see women who are "bigger" embracing their "bigness". You need to get out of the shallow end, my dear.

Why are you so shallow? The questions you ask do not signify a high intelligence.
