A team is allowed to have 5 players on playing on the court in a NBA game. Depending on what kind of tournament it is (some times it is a 2 on 2 or a 3 on 3 and etc...), the amount of players a team can have playing varies. But talking about college basketball or the NBA then is it 5. A team can bring about 12-15 players to the game, but can only have 5 playing at the same time.

We snuck in 7 before getting hit with a "T". Was well worth it, I thought the other teams coach's head was going to explode from yelling at the ref's.

I honestly don't know. I think maybe five. A better question would be how many men are out of court the day of the game.,
