No, any malicious conduct like that and I guarantee you'll be prosecuted. I went through 2 and I'm kind of an expert on this subject. My X took "our" car, furniture, and many other things. When I tried to prosecute, there was nothing I could do since when you're married, everything is owned jointly and it's almost like whoever gets there first gets it. Once you make an agreement, it's a different story. I had ALOT of damage done to my car and still tried to prosecute. I KNEW it was him doing it to "get back" at me, but since I didn't have any "proof", there was nothing they could do.

Sure, you CAN do it. But then you're going to be forced to repay the legal owner for the damage. It's kind of like cutting your own throat with a dull knife.

It may seem like a good idea at the time, but it's going to end up causing you a LOT of grief and a LOT of money.

Don't do it!

Don't do it. The idea of divorce is to PUT THE PAST BEHIND YOU, and if you play these "revenge games", that will totally KEEP YOU FROM MOVING ON WITH YOUR LIFE, which is by far the BEST THING you can do for yourself right now!

Dont do that because then you will come across as being vindictive let your stb ex have the car and then you can have your life back and you can also buy another vehicle.

it would not be legal to take it apart. you would possible have to compensate for the value of the car.

short answer no, the court will most likely allow them to bill you for the repair to the vehicle. best to leave it as is.
