the best person for the job is not running and that would be me

I can't say anyone currently elected has my vote. I am looking for a statesman. Someone who cares deeply for the country and the constitution.

Getting more people to vote in the first place will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises.

Bacuase I am a Constitutionalist, I vote for candidates running on the Libertarian Ticket. They have the most impact nationwide, are the best organized third party and have a 30 plus year history.

Interesting phrasing...... IF ..........

When there is an election in '08 and "IF" he decides to run,

I would probably vote for Illinois Senator Barack Obama. Although I don't believe he can get the party nomination he very well could be chosen as the Vice-presidential candidate.

There is no "if": there will be an election for President in 2008. I like John McCain for the Republicans, and Joe Lieberman for the Democrats.

If he would run, I would vote for Colin Powell. I would also vote for John McCain or John Edwards, both of whom seem to be running. But it is doubtful, given their moderate tendencies, that they will get their party nominations.
