look at the art & artwork of Giotto for his frescos, Ghiberti brothers & Pizano for sculpture, Brunelleschi for his architecture.

I believe this is when linear perspective was introduced....many wealthy patrons buying lots of art(think Medici in Florence..in their chapel is the last supper)...Michelangelo and the Sistene chapel....Statue of David....the Pieta(St.Peters Rome basilicia)
