It would break...
Due to surface tension... no matter who or what is present in the water to break it...
Partly because of the height... thus the speed.
Partly because of the impact.
As proven by MythBuster ... when they dropped a dummy from a certain height (quite high), its arms and legs were dislocated..
Even when they repeated the test with a hammer breaking the surface tension just prior to the dummy landing, the same result was observed!

of course it would
surface tension increases with velocity
and an egg dropped from an 8 story building will be going pretty fast

in many circumstances no longer, yet a public pool close to us does have some "doggie swim" days. i've got self belief they're in the autumn, in simple terms formerly they empty the pool for the year. I stay in Atlanta, and that i've got self belief Piedmont parks pool does the doggie swim days. another swimming pools could do them as nicely.

If a person jumps into water from a certain height, they will die. An egg is much more fragile than a person, so yes.

Yes, even if boiled, or frozen, the shell will crack on impact.

If laned point down then it might stand the impact BUT is it DROPPED or THROWN as you put both, but point down it might last the impact.
