I cannot seem to keep a croton alive. The leaves keep falling off. Am I overwatering or underwatering? Does it need to be misted? I have it in a west window.

This plant needs warmth & reasonable humidity.Where cool and drafty, or air is dry, most lightly the leaves will fall. Give maxium light, but avoid direct sunlight.

Crotons grow in a tropical environment. I have them in the garden and in pots. They don't grow too well indoors for lengthy periods.
