Hey does anybody know how to fix whatever problem it is when your computer is not automatically running things, like in mine it doesnt detect the webcam out of any USB port or sometimes the memory stick port. It also doesnt detect when I put a CD on. I dont know what is going on and why it doesnt detect my webcam and the other things. I checked on the device manager and it doesnt say anything that is wrong. Does the Symantec have anything to do with it? Please help! :) Thanks .

if u r talking about norton get rid of it it was 1 of the reasons i had to go buy a new hard drive also i think that is the prob if not then go to devise manager in control panel,maintainance,system

erratic operations of components where they work sometimes usually is a result of an infection - a virus or spyware.
If these things do not work all the time go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager, find them, uninstall them and restart and windows will rebuild them

i use symantec for years. there's no problem. when installing usb devices, you have to follow certain rules. read the instruction properly. try to remove the usb port driver in device manager and refresh it, restart if necessary. find for driver upgrade for your usb port or devices. avoid power surge in your usb port, this will spoil it or reduce the efficiency. plug in or unplug your usb devices properly (as proper as possible).
