i think you need to write your questions in more simple terms, because it dosnt seem that many people get your point. however...i think i agree with you, death and destruction does not equal aid. we are just fixing the stuff we messed up or handing debt over to those who cant repay it.

Iraqi Government...
October 22, 2006 07:52 PM
More than half a billion dollars earmarked to fight the insurgency in Iraq was stolen by people the U.S. had entrusted to run the country's Ministry of Defense before the 2005 elections, according to Iraqi investigators.
Iraq's former minister of finance says coalition members like the U.S. and Britain are doing little to help recover the money or catch suspects, most of whom fled the country. The 60 Minutes investigation also turned up audio recordings of a suspect who seems to be discussing the transfer of $45 million to the account of a top political adviser

I think this is the bitter reality, remember the US is a big country that's why they're powerful. But remember every country has an equal obligation to help the 3rd world countries, not just the US.so stop blaming the US,we all have a part to play.

First if you can't pay don't borrow. humm pretty simple duh!
Second most is never repaid.
Third the amount "given" far exceeds any debts.
If the people living in these hell holes would grow some balls and keep out the nut case leaders "who are the ones who really keep them in the ditch" then we wouldn't have to bail there @ss out.
Why is Japan the only country that has a clue when i come to the US. They payed attention, they listened, they used their gifts and loans wisely (after we flattened them.) They kept the Psychotic dictators away. (though i have questions about our own but in a couple years he'll be gone, thank god)
That leads us to another thing why do they let them stick around for so long after they figure out the "leader is nuts". 8 years ours is gone!
Ding Ding Clue alarm.

Although not myself an American, I think your question relates very well to all the so called world powers - and that's exactly what it's all about - power...... by ensuring someone/or some nation lesser than you is indebted to you for both your 'support' and your financial 'aid' - you ensure their 'loyalty' and support as and when you call on them - whether they agree with you or not ......
by making them dependant you 'make' them loyal ..... this is why there are third world countries - many of them having nothing (as yet anyway) of value to the world's super powers - but either they might in the future or they are 'friends' with/of those who might be ..... as in all politics - it's in your interests to curry favour .......
