can't help but notice those sympathyzers... there are bi, lesbians, gays... so i just wonder, are straight people on the verge of extinction?

No way, dear.
I'm as straight as a nail myself and among all of the people I know there are only two lesbian and two gay (both a couple). And I can't count the people I know out for you...hundreds.

Of course not. Around 90% of the population is straight. Just because it's talked about more and more GLBT people are coming out of the closet doesn't mean there are actually fewer straight people. It just means that people are able to be more honest about themselves.

I think 10% of the population has always had alternative lifestyles. That still leaves 90% as breeders, so we shouldn't go extinct anytime soon.

Only species can go extinct. Straight is NOT a species, so the only way straight poeple could go extinct is if the whole human race did.
