Hindsight is 20/20. Of course I may wish I could go back and re-do whatever I made the mistake on but I can't live in the past. I have to let it go and hand it over to God and ask Him to please help me fix it. No sense in being furious or unhappy with myself. That's just a waste of time.

Just think if you made a mistake the first day you were born?
wow you wouldn't have anything to compare it to in your living memory.....that is what we should all do is to treat each "goof" we make as if it was our very first mistake and not look back...We can't change it.....we can only take care of today....we are not promised even a tomorrow.....so make every minute count that you are given...and don't worry about the past and future. Plus we all have feelings some are very deep and we are sensitive especially the way others torment us if we do something incorrect. Some people only see others mistakes...and not their own. If it was a serious or less than serious mistake say "I'm sorry" and move on. Time waits for no one. and it does keep moving. We all want to kick ourselves...so kick once and keep moving...lol

I make mistakes all the time at my job and I am still an assistant manager. I just shrug it off and move on. I just make sure not to make the same mistake twice, besides the manager and I have a laugh about our mistakes all the time. If there werent any we would be bored!

Making mistakes is all part of the growth process, and we're all only human. Learn and grow from your mistake and move on with your life. When you know better you can do better. Don't make your happiness depend on the mistakes you make, it's all about the successes you achieve.

Not always. Most of the time I chalk it up as a learning experience and move on a little wiser. Being down on myself is only going to lead to more mistakes. You know what they say, "To err is humann", and if we were all perfect, life would be rather boring. We don't learn if we don't screw up every now and then.

Very often, in fact pretty much regularly, but as I get older (59 now) I realize that it's just not WORTH it to beat yourself up, ESPECIALLY because it doesn't CHANGE ANYTHING, and life is way too short too worry about things you CAN'T CHANGE!

it depends on how big the mistake. but a lot of times i do get angry with myself. but after awhile, i just breathe and say "screw it. nothing i can do about it now" and try to move on.
