The big question that needs to be ask "Will the world be around in 100 years?" As far as the USA there is a real good chance if the world is.

Not as we know it, or have known it. It is very unlikely, given the current trends in population, education, and global interaction, that America can retain its position as sole superpower for even another 20 years. In fact, China could derail our entire economy tomorrow simply by calling our debt to them. It's unlikely to happen tomorrow, of course, but eventually our relatively older population and the lack of education caused by the trend of anti-intellectualism will catch up with us, and we won't have the influence necessary to stave off our rivals. Anti-intellectualism has also fed the tide of arrogance and nationalism, two things that will do us no favors when we're forced to reckon with them. Will America exist? Probably. But much like Britain still exists... There is still a Britain, but it is nothing like what it was when it was the dominant world power.

Such a vauge question with no reliable answer. Can we acuratly predict such a thing? Absolutly not. Some nations stay stable for hundreds of years. Some rise and fall in the blink of an eye. We're going on 230 right now, thats not too bad. Will we make it to 330? It all depends on so many complex factors, no one here can give you an acurate answer. I know I cant...

If the present US imperialistic policies, the arrogant nationalistic attitude and the divisiveness among the citizenry that exists today, I see the US, within this century, to be just another banana republic, with China in the helm of the world!

when Jesus comes back, it wonn't really matter who has control of the U.S, the republican or the democrats. And He's coming back soon, don't worry about the future just make today your best day.
