You'd need to make sure you had a good strain - thats the only way your weed is going to be good. If you are just growing some crap shwag weed then it doesn't matter what you do, it's going to suck.

There has to be seeds on the plant and the leaves will darken some indicating the resin factor is increasing ( maybe light purple,depending on the type of plant ).
