Well, it's definately time to quit sending our money to other countries if that's what you mean!!!!! It's also time for the president to pull his head out of his @$$, get the troops out of Iraq and quit talking all this crap!!!!!!! If you go to war with a country, you don't send money to the same country to help them rebuild at the same time as your supposed to be at war with them it's ridiculous!!!!!!!! Who cares about other countries law and the rights of their citizens, what about Americans rights? We have enough problems in our own country!!!!!!!!!

10 billion dollars a month going for a war based on George Bush's lye's, 120 billion a year for the last three years and for what, we removed a dictator from leadership. I think that they ought to disband the military all together and build a defense force to take care of our own country's needs. Perhaps keep parts of the Navy and Air Force intact so that we do have a striking force, and yes cut the military budget to just what they need which don't include $2000 toilet seats.

It is not a good idea to cut the general operating expenses. The reason the budget isn't balanced is because 300 billion has been spent on the Iraq war. When CLinton left office there was a budget surplus of @ 280 billion.

No, it is time to raise taxes to balance the Federal budget. It's time to reinstitute Gramm-Rudman. It's time to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. It's time to stop building 10-million-dollar bridges to nowhere. It's time to give Federal employees and contractors financial incentives to SAVE money. It's time to have the government audited by a British auditing firm. It's time to stop raising Congressional salaries.
Yes, we need to balance the budget. No, cutting the military is not the best way to achieve that.

No. Gluttonous Congressional spending is the culprit, not the defense budget. Whether we like it or not, having a strong military is the "cost of doing business" in this world.
We have deficits because Congress has an absolutely insatiable appetite for our tax money and cares not whether they spend it wisely. Tax receipts are way up, yet they only see it as more money to spend. The level of Congressional spending is despicable.

After reading your bio, I think you should move to Cuba so you can be a Socialist with Castro. You friggin idiot, it was the Military cuts from Clinton back in the 90's that are still hampering us today. I have an idea, why don't you give more of your own money in taxes to the government so we can balance it faster.

No,,, that would be a lousy approch. One way or another tho' the government needs to take in what goes out. Tax cuts are nice,,,, but,,, still need to pay the bills.
Or haven't you noticed that the lights get turned off when you don't pay your electric bill.

Are you retarded? The military is underfunded as it is. Maybe if the politicians took a pay cut and cut the pork out of all their stupid bills, we wouldn't have such a problem with our national debt. Oh yeah, and cut the socialist programs like welfare.

Oh how very Clinton-like....yes by all means, lets cut the military some more and then we can just give Al Queda cart blanche' in the US....why not just make them honorary citizens? Because I bet if we're real nice to them and talk real nice they will see the error of their ways and stop killing everything they see.....

Oh, right. The lowest priority of the federal government is national defense. Makes sense to me.
