Accord to girl I use to date, my blood taste like metal. She say people who are healthy have blood that smell and taste like iron while those who aren't health smell and taste more watery.

Because iron is an important element in the haemoglobin molecule. Change that for magnesium and you have the plant equivalent, chlorophyll. That explains why those two things are respectively red and green too.

hemoglobin is the most prominent protein in the blood. Look up the chemical structure for hemoglobin and you'll see! There's iron in it.
