Valerian root - buy it ground at a herb or natural health foods store (it's sometimes hard to find). Extract from Valerian root is used to make the drug Valium.
Also eating Turkey, with the tryptothan (spelling may be off) will relax you.

Have a walk for 10-15 minutes, then take a warm bath with pine scent. Or carry a baby in your arms for few minutes (when the baby is happy or asleep, of course)...and of course, sleep.

Herbs, Hot tea some say Saint Johns Wart works but it didn't on me. Five deep breaths, close your eyes and sigh

Sedentary foods and juices from cooking them....like boiled beans or asparagus or brussel sprouts as well as tomatoes, and cauliflower and white rice......to name a few and drink the juice!

some people say the herb valerian is good for anxiety, nerves, and insomnia. you should research it.
