Any theories out there? Or perhaps someone who works in films knows?

I really haven't noticed that type of trend in the films I watch. Maybe you're watching a lot of films in which the characters get drunk all the time and then vomit...?

I don't see if often but the worst one was Apollo 11. The guy upchucked in space and it was floating around. That scene did NOT go over well in the theater.

They are competing with TV. You don't see that much on TV. In order to compete they need to show violence, sex, swearing or gross scenes which appeal to the prurient interests of the viewers. Have you read any fiction lately? Most books that I have read seem to include or emphasize sex, violence, filthy language, or nasty habits that people have like picking their nose, spitting, etc.

I watch a LOT of movies and I hardley ever see vomit scenes.

well, I can think of quite a few where they don't off the top of my head, so I'm gonna think that because you pay attention to vomit and stuff, u remember them and forget about the movies where they don't.

vomiting in movies? hmm. not sure about that one. it might have been a reflection of someone vomiting in your bathroom. have you thought of that theory?

It`s not really so . Maybe in nearly all movies you have seen it`s so but not in nearly all the movies !

notting hill, ever after, titanic, click, there are alot of movies that dont have vomit in it dont know what ur talking about...
