Go to a L&G Center and get a product called Liquid Fence for dogs and cats. We sell a ton of this stuff and our customers are for the most part very happy with the results.
One note. This is a repellent that works by smell. If the cat has been going in your bed for a long time and it really smells you'll probably have to clean it up and maybe put down new mulch. If the cat stuff smell is stronger than the Liquid Fence the Liquid Fence usually doesn't work as well as if the Liquid Fence smell was the more powerful.

Cats just can't resist those sand to cover up their poop
Change to granular fill if it's acceptable to you
It gives a quite similar appearance or appeal
Remember to be thorough when removing the sand
Do not leave any lingering smell of cat poop
Or else they'll come back to that spot
Happy landscaping

THere are these things that run off batteries, the first is a motion sensor that barks when you activate it, our cats dont liek dogs so it works, the other one is sort of the same, but it gives off an ultrasonic sound that scares the cats away, heres a link that explains it better.

Moth crystals sometimes works. It smells better than the stuff I bought from the pet store to keep dogs out of my yard. It didn't work anyway.

There's some granules you can spread around that they supposedly don't like the smell of.
I use a motion-activated sprinkler.

Put little bowls of anti-freeze out for them to drink. They love the stuff!! After awhile you will see no cats what so ever. In fact the whole neiborhood will thank you.
