I cannot believe how mean people can get. In Africa, a kid dies every three seconds and it is said that the majority of children do not live to celebrate their 5th birthday. But when there is a wealthy person who is willing to provide a better life for a child, people are against it! How can you be against someone's happiness. What Madonna does for the world is a brave and a generous thing, and she should be given respect for that.

Not that kids every where in the world don't need homes by why do celebs forget about all the unadopted kids in the US-of A do they think that they will get more publicity if the kids from a third world country. Let alone all the other perks of doing it in 3 days I feel for all of the kind hearted people that work their butts off and have to wait 3 years.

Do I think Madonna should adopt.... ABSOLUTELY! I am a mom of two / teacher in the public and private USA School system. Please don't judge Madonna by her 'concert' face. I give her total respect when it comes to child raising. How often do you see her children in the news? She keeps them well protected from the public. Not to mention she can provide the children with education and culture that they would not get from a homeless situation. Keep in mind she has given millions to children foundations. God Bless -

Everybody should give babies especially poor ones a good chance to live comfortably. Moreover, they could have better education and childhood.
However, you must follow procedures and laws of adoption. If you have money, time, motivation and energy ..why not?
Unfortunately, media makes it harder for celebrities and they rather see babies live in poor conditions than encourage public to adopt!

not really, especially since there is a lot of controversy with the baby she has decided to adopt. Maybe if she wants to help children from poor countries she should donate money instead then it would feed many children not just one

I think anyone who has a good heart, love, and isn't a child abuser should adopt. There are many kids who need a good home with people who will take care of them and love them

Why not its not like she will be the one raising it she will get a nanny and the kid will be FAR beter off thatn in an orphanage in a poor impoverished country

why not, but why do people make a big deal when she adopts a child from africa, when no one else seems to bother to adopt african kids in america

Not really! Not just because she has money. She shows a very bad example, and if she were my mother; it would be an embarrassment.
