She's been gone for so long, my mind has lucid memories that keeps her very near, near enough to smell, to see her name flash, a peculiar name at that, what is this, it's more than love???

Yes, it is more than love !
Now there is no more the 'other' to love at all !
The 'we' is now the " Us " !
Lucky !
( And, mind is a choice-less witness to something beyond logic ! so, no need to 'think' about whether it is 'reacting'... look, see if it is true, it is more intense during the moments of inaction !)

What you are describing is not love, it's addiction. The solution for this situation is time! Time heals all wounds and sometimes addictions. Just be willing to see it for what it is without romanticizing it and it will disappear.

Sounds like a case of unwilling to forget, or accept. You want. Stop that and let it go, let her go. Accept what is my friend and you will find new love.

you want to know this because your mind is still reacting to this "imprint" i think its just heartache, and you won't get rid of this imprint till you forget about her all together.
