I consider myself to be a moderate conservative.
Many of my views are too liberal to be conservative, and too conservative to be liberal. I just prefer to attempt to see things from every angle.

Since I AM a moderate, I can tell you that I am not at all undecided. There are good people, and good points to be make, on both sides of the aisle. There are also bad people and bad ideas on both sides. I hold some traditionally conservative beliefs (small government, fiscal responsibility, though you can't see that from our current crop of Republicans). And I hold some traditionally liberal ones (pro-choice, separation of church and state).
What bothers me most as a moderate is the recent 'winner-take-all' way that the majority party has played politics in the past 12 years, since the 1994 GOP 'landslide.' They've been very arrogant in their belief that they and they alone hold the truth, that the vast majority of the public supports them, and they can do no wrong. I'm hoping the current election will swing at least ONE house of Congress to the Democrats, and I'm actually hoping for both. I'd like the current GOP members to be humbled a little, enough to remind them that we're all in this together. I just hope that the Democrats don't go in for retribution and treat the GOP members with the same arrogant indifference with which they have been treated these past 12 years.

I would define a moderate as a person who leans both ways on separate issues. They are not full blown fanatical down just one party line. They may be all for a woman's right to choose, but at the same time, all for capital punishment. They might be all for a gay person's right to marry, but also believe in a traditional family being the foundation of this country. There are many combinations that make up a moderate. This country could use more of them.

I consider myself a moderate, and I'm very opinionated about many things. I try to argue both sides of any issue before settling on what my position is; and then continue to listen to arguments, to a point, from the opposite side. Far left, and far right positions are generally not equitable to the majority.

moderates are the only sane people left in the United States, and there are only about three of them. Seriously though, a moderate is someone who does not strictly vote one party's ticket, and has views on political issues that correspond with the stance of more than one party.

A moderate is someone who is "middle of the road".Certain issues they side with the conservatives and other issues with the liberals.I consider myself a moderate,as I don't fit into a straight left or right stance.

In my opinion, I believe a moderate is someone who isn't gullible or ignorant enough to buy into the Rush far right or the Moore far left rhetoric and nonsense.
He/she is someone who weighs the facts and makes his/her own decision - usually not either far right or far left - but compromised somewhere along the middle.

If you're talking about political moderates, I would define them as folks who can appreciate and perhaps agree with elements of more than one party.
