Threesomes or any other departure from the norm can severely strain all but the absolute most securest of relationships. You must be absolutely secure in your relationship as well as your partner. Both must be committed and totally trusting of the other. If after all you are both committed and secure, you must set guidelines to go by.What is each of you comfortable with sharing and what are you not. Some couples have a no holds barred scenario except for kissing. They can go as far as they like as long as they never kiss the person they invite into their realm. For some kissing is very personal but everything else is not. It may be that you insist on condoms or other forms of protection. Make sure that your relationship is secure enough to handle the different pressures that this will add and make sure you set your guidelines and rules and agree upon them prior to the actual act.

All I can do is give an opinion as I have never done this.

I believe that for a couple to bring in another person is asking for disaster. If you are so bored with each other that you need a third to help out you are headed for what ever you get. One or the other may very well run off with the third. Or at the very least come to understand how poor a lover you really are.

Only do this if you have given up all hope for your relationship.

A threesome will lead to the ruin of a couples life for sure! It would not be something I would want!

Introducing a relationship to polygamy is fraught with problems including trust, self esteem, etc. You risk eroding the fundamental principles of the relationship itself. Some people can make an open lifestyle work for their relationship. However, both people have to be brought into it strongly and both people have to be secure in their love, trust and sexuality.

It's a good way to lose respect for yourself and the other person.

If you need 3 people to have a good relationship something is wrong with the relationship.

Threesomes should only happen if you are all planning to part separate ways and never want to see or talk to each other again...They never work.

Chances are it will ruin the relationship but if you're not the jealous type it may not but make sure it's not with a friend you're close to.

Icky. Can you really live with the vision of your man screwing another woman and not only enjoying it, but expect you to encourage it? Icky.
