If God sent the US to liberate Iraq, then why have 500,000 Iraqi citizens died? Death isn't freedom.

Bob Woodward asked the president whether he consulted his father, the former president, before deciding to go to war. Many readers of his book, Plan of Attack, were shocked by Bush's answer: "There is a higher father that I appeal to." Read in full context, though, these words do not imply that the president thinks he takes orders from God. When the Iraq war began, Bush recalled, "I was praying for strength to do the Lord's will. surely not going to justify war based upon God. I pray that I be as good a messenger of His will as possible. And then, of course, I pray for personal strength and for forgiveness." When Woodward posed the question about his father, he replied that a human father "is the wrong father to appeal to in terms of strength. There is a higher father that I appeal to."

God has sent many people into battle for his glory. Who would say that God did not send us back into battle for his glory?

The people of Iraq have been enslaved by a murderous Dictator. God, more then Likely has sent a powerful warrior to free them.

Jesus would most defiantly support the freedom of all men, even if it meant war had to be ensued to achieve it. Jesus spoke many times about peace and how to achieve peace. But he also spoke of war and the times that war sometimes is required.

No, God is the God of Peace, He does not support it and He does not create it, it is human that do it and that is why the
Bible tells us to pray for our leaders(governers here on Earth) so they can do the right thing or else it all will come apart.

I am not religious...but what I know of Jesus Christ, sounds like a peace loving guy, whom I would support so I would doubt he would approve of any sort of war, death or destruction.

Christ was not about violence of any kind. The so called Christians who support violent acts are anything but Christian..that goes for most religions.

I don't get where you think Bush bases all of his actions on his religious belief besides certain people brainwashing you to not think for yourself. What is sad is that the left panders to the people who truely believes that God wants them to kill us. You are completely lost or stupid. Take your pick.

Will an answer increase either your knowledge about Jesus, or your knowledge about politics?

The nice thing about being a believer is that it is a personal belief. It is allowed to be subjective.

Openly ridiculing another's personal beliefs, on the other hand: Jesus wouldn't go much for that.
